The first decade of the 21st century was anything but typical. Within the span of ten years, a series of large-scale world events brought about lasting global change. In an effort to understand public opinion and how that change has been felt around the globe, Huanqiu.com and the Global Public Opinion Survey Center conducted an online survey from Dec 20th - 23rd among Chinese netizens asking questions about which world events during the years 2001-2010, if any, have most influenced China and the world. Questions in the survey also hoped to discover public opinion on how the impact from these events will affect the future. About 8240 internet users participated in the survey and shared their personal views. Here is a copy of the original survey.
