Zhuhai now has a train station, the Zhuhai North Station. This station is mainly served by high-speed train services heading towards Guangzhou South Station. The fastest train to depart from Zhuhai reaches Guangzhou in a mere 48 minutes. Tickets for second class seats cost 36 RMB, while first class tickets cost 44 RMB.

As with all cities in China, there are three methods for purchasing train tickets in Zhuhai: over the phone, online or at the ticket window.  Tickets can be purchased over the telephone (9510 5105) 4-12 days in advance. If you want to reserve tickets for trains departing between 6:00-12:00, the tickets must be collected on the same day between 12:00-24:00. For tickets departing between 12:00-23:00, ticket pick up time is from 0:00-12:00. Tickets are non transferable and are void if not used on the correct day. To purchase tickets online, visit www.12306.cn. Tickets can be ordered daily from 07:00-23:00 up to 12 days in advance and tickets be picked up any time before departure. Tickets are sold up to ten days in advance at ticket windows.
