Zhuhai Snacks

Dim Sum

Dim Sum comes from the Cantonese term for snack, but also refers to a specific kind of Cantonese food. It includes dishes made from meat, seafood or vegetables, as well as desserts and fruit. Dim sum is often served from carts pushed by the servers in restaurants, allowing the diner to see the different options available to them. The choices are almost endless, with a wide variety of flavor combinations. Dim sum is often eaten on a daily basis by locals, usually for breakfast or lunch.

Shuang Pi Nai (Double-Skin Milk) 双皮奶
A typical dessert from Shunde (in Foshan, near Zhuhai), Shuang Pi Nai is definitely worth a try, as is Jiang Zhuang Nai, a variation flavored with ginger. Often served topped with lotus seeds or beans, Shuang Pi Nai can be found on most every street corner in Zhuhai.
