The 2011 Zhuhai International Half Marathon will be held on the morning of December 18th. This year, 9,789 athletes are participating – more than double the number from last year – including 79 professional runners from the United States, Canada, Samoa, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Britain and 16 other countries. The event will include a male and female half marathon (21.0975 km), a male and female 10 km marathon, and a male and female mini-marathon (4.7 km). The winner of the half marathon will be awarded 5,500 USD, while the winner of the 10 km marathon will take home 3,000 USD.
