Zhengzhou Taxi Drivers Go on Strike

On January 10th Zhengzhou taxi drivers went on strike over their dissatisfaction with the Zhengzhou government’s plan to cancel the “six breaks with one day off” system. A troop of 4,000 policemen and employees of the Zhengzhou transport system are responsible for getting taxi drivers to work. The taxis on strike account for over half of the total 10,607 legal taxies in Zhengzhou city.
