According to recent statistics from Yiwu Customs, influenced by FIFA World Cup games, local exports of sports goods have consistently brought in over 10 million USD in monthly revenue for the past six months, with a 110% growth for May this year when compared with the same period last year. In both April and May, exports of sports goods exceeded 15 million USD. Yiwu merchants are already eyeing the 2014 World Cup in Brazil for the next big break in business.
