A list ranking the top ten cities in China with the highest cost to marry a wife was released by a Xi’an netizen recently. According to him, a man in Xi’an ought to pay 1,040,000 RMB for a wife, including buying a house, decorating, buying furniture and household appliances and so on. This number means he would have to work for 10 years and 8 months consecutively and never eat or drink.
