The red taxis in Xiamen are easy to spot, and can be hailed easily from most spots in the city center. Taxis charge 8 RMB for the first three kilometers, with each additional kilometer costing 2 RMB. There is also a 2 RMB surcharge for fuel, which brings the beginning total to 10 RMB.
