Wuhan Transport - Taxis

The transportation system of Wuhan is quite developed.  If you are in a hurry, taking a taxi won’t necessarily get you there faster.  In general, during rush hour, all modes of transportation are susceptible to major traffic congestions.  Whatever mode of transportation you choose, try to avoid rush hour if you can.  Wuhan taxis using the Kaixuan cars charge 8 RMB for the first 2 km, and then 1.6 RMB per km thereafter. All other taxis will charge 6 RMB for 2 km and 1.4 RMB per km afterwards.  Both companies will add a 1.5 RMB fuel surcharge to the overall cost.
