Women Dies of Alcohol Poisoning During “Job Interview” for Anhui Club
Nov 06, 2015 By eChinacities.com

A woman died of alcohol poisoning while being “interviewed” for a job at a club. The boss of the club has been arrested on the suspicion of intentional homicide.

Xiao Mei applied to a job at a club in Baohe, Anhui this past June. For her interview, the club’s boss Hu required Xiao Mei to come to his home and drink to test her ability to do her job. Xiao Mei went to Hu’s house one afternoon for the interview. He cooked her dinner, and asked her to drink. Xiao Mei got so drunk on Hu’s home-made wine that she collapsed on the sofa. Hu yelled at her to continue drinking.

Hu had invited a few employees over the dinner and insisted Xiao Mei stay. At the dinner she drank even more wine. Later, the employees left, and Hu told dizzy Xiao Mei that she should stay and rest. They continued drinking.

Xiao Mei started to vomit, and did not know what was going on. At 7 pm, Hu called two of his employees to come over and take care of Xiao Mei. The employees put her to bed.

Xiao Mei’s friends arrived at 8:40 pm and found that she was not breathing. Her blood alcohol content was 0.4. The cause of her death was determined as alcohol poisoning.

Police believed that Hu was aware of the amount that Xiao Mei was drinking and continued to let her drink. He failed to take her to the hospital, and allowed her death to occur, which constitutes intentional homicide.

My buddy got sold some counterfeit alcohol in Longgang a couple years back. It messed him up for a few weeks. He had to take full medical leave right before Chinese new year. Luckily the boss liked him and kept him on. Personally I don't drink alcohol inside of China. It doesn't taste right and I have heard the odd flavor can be attributed to the use of formaldehyde as a beer preservative.

Another typical story of Chinese male-domination and exploitation of female workers, especially hostesses. There's a 99% chance he wanted to get her drunk and have his way with her. After he'd likely reject her after the "interview" so he could "interview" the next girl.

A case of guilty until proven innocent? The commenters here, as usual, are like a braying mob.

Add, of course, she probably only drank one cup of hot water each day for her entire life. Many Chinese people I see show the outward indicators of dehydration. Poor girl...that boss must be a real loser.

The drinking culture in this country is disgusting. People don't care about each others welfare and because of their dumb face culture people are too afraid to say no. Then when they do say no they are forced to drink. I can't count the amount of times I have been close to a physical confrontation with a Chinese person because when I have said no to something they continually persist and won't leave me alone. No means no I shouldn't have to get physical with you for you to leave me alone. The worst part of that is that I then look like the dick because I am the aggressive one. I'm sure if you continuously poked the most docile of bears it would eventually rip your head off.

Why can't Chinese realize that Chinese are scammers and cheats and are not to be trusted? Then have a mind of your own and say no!!!!
