Guangzhou will establish a wireless radio and TV network that covers rural areas by the end of 2009. The project will progress under terms and requirements set by the Central and Provincial governments. Libraries and Internet services are expected to be made available in some selected rural areas. As a result, residents in both rural and urban areas can enjoy equal cultural services.
Additionally, over one million households will be able to enjoy digital cable TV services.
