Dalian has long been famous for its variety of city birds, so it comes as no big surprise that winter bird-watching is becoming hugely popular in Dalian. At present, 314 species of migratory and resident birds can be spotted in Dalian, according to the local wildlife protection department. Laotieshan Mountain, Santai Wetlands of Wafangdian City and Jinzhouwan Bay have become the most popular spots winter bird watching in Dalian.
