Wild Panda Breaches Farm, Preys on Local Livestock

Wild Panda Breaches Farm, Preys on Local Livestock
Mar 01, 2013 By eChinacities.com

It was reported on February 25, that a wild panda had entered Baoxian County, near Chengdu, and ate a lamb being raised by local farmers. After hearing a piercing scream coming from nearby the farm, locals saw a bear only ten meters in front of them holding one of their lambs in its jaws. As to not attract the attention of the bear, the farmer left the scene and informed the local forestry bureau. It has been understood that due to dense bamboo forests surrounding Baoxian County, many wild pandas make the trek down and have been known to prey on the local livestock.

And why shouldn't this panda eat a lamb that is not protected properly within a secure area? That's the farmer's fault / bad luck. The panda has just as much right to find food in it's natural habitat as we do.
