On February 28, 150 year-old British institution Wellington College signed an agreement with Shanghai’s Pudong International Business District to open a Wellington College International China branch school in the area. The Pudong school will be the second international school of its kind in China, after Wellington previously opened a school in Tianjin. The school is due to open in March 2014, and will begin recruiting foreign Shanghai-based students in September. Yearly tuition fees are expected to be at least 200,000 RMB.
