Weekend Vintage Fair in Guomao June 14-15
Jun 10, 2014 By eChinacities.com

All fashion lovers should save the date this weekend, as the Vintage Fair is coming to Guomao. Combining delicious snacks, artisanal coffee, Beijing’s top vintage clothes traders, music and sunshine, this event is not to be missed.

Saturday will feature music from the Beijing Hot Club, transporting us back to the 1930’s jazz era with their smooth brand of gypsy jazz. Swing dance lessons will also be provided by some of Beijing’s finest dancers. They will be joined by C60, an indie Britpop, post-punk influenced band that has been enthralling Beijing fans for over a decade.

Sunday will feature the Beijing Dead, another institution on the Beijing music scene. The Grateful dead cover band give an energetic and impressive live performance that has gotten them a faithful following in Beijing.

They will be joined by the Remedios, an AngloAmerican improvised psychedelic folk duo that plays indie inspired works on voice, guitar and violin.

As if that’s not enough, there will be hundreds upon hundreds of rails of vintage clothes for you to peruse, and if you aren’t in the mood to shop, you can eat, drink, dance or just sit and people watch as the crème de la crème of China’s vintage fashion scene descend on the CBD for the event.
