Watersprouts Witnessed Twice in One Day over Qinghai Lake
Sep 07, 2010 By eChinacities.com

In the drizzling rain, a watersprout looked like a swirling dragon dropping from the skies into the lake waters below. This mystical work of nature occurred on the Tibetan Plateau, over Qinghai Lake which is 3,200m above sea level. On September 1st, watersprouts appeared twice over Qinghai Lake, adding to its mysterious beauty.

Watersprouts are usually more common in the summer season, but the fact that such a phenomenon was witnessed in autumn could be due to the increase in rain this year in the surrounding regions.
