Urumqi International Airport to Start Use of No. 3 Terminal Building
Mar 18, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Starting March 27th, the no. 3 terminal building of the Urumqi International Airport will open to traffic and all passengers travelling with China Southern Airlines will have to check in and go through customs check at the new terminal building. According to a staff member with China Southern, the new terminal building has implemented state-of-the-art technology for the baggage transport system – including 60 or so circular shaped check-in docks that allows for better dispersion of passenger traffic during baggage check-in and boarding procedures; waiting rooms for mothers with babies, washrooms for the disabled and check-in counters for those passengers with only carry-on luggage are some of the better accommodating services available at the new terminal building.
