The site renowned as the "Beijing Lu on the south bank of the Pearl River", an over-500-meter-long underground shopping street at Jiangnan Xi Lu that covers 20 thousand square meters, is to begin operation next month. So far, over 200 businesses have been installed and will provide services related to entertainment, recreation and catering.
Named "Jiangnan Sunday", the shopping street, which is similar to "Vogue Frontier (or Liuxing Qianxian)", another underground mall located near Guangzhou Martyrs Cemetery, is composed of two tunnels: One, a 520-meter-long installation of about 18 thousand square meters, was built in the first phase and a second, of 330-meters-long, was built as the second phase.
