Uber has announced it will expand services to 18 new cities in Guangdong, Hunan, and Hubei by the end of February 2016. With the new additions, Uber will cover 55 cities in China (it currently has services in 37 cities). The company plans to cover 100 cities in China by the end of 2016.

Five of the new cities, including Dongguan, are in Guangdong. Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, and three more cities will be added in Hunan. The service will also launch in eight cities in Hubei.

Uber officially launched in Guangzhou and Shenzhen in February 2014. Now, the two cities are part of the top ten Uber cities in the world. For part of 2015, Guangzhou had the most Uber orders in the world, with 30 times more subscribers in 2015 than the previous year.
