2013 World Competitiveness Rankings: China at 21

The International Business School in Geneva, Switzerland announced the results of the 2013 World Competitiveness Ranking on May 2013. The rankings critiqued 60 economies on their economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency and infrastructure.

The US climbed one spot to return to first place this year, while Hong Kong fell from the top spot to third. Taiwan fell from seventh to eleventh, while China came in at 21st.

The top ten countries are as follows: The United States, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Sweden, Singapore, Norway, Canada, The United Arab Emirates, Germany and Qatar.
