Most airlines are reducing flight routes due to the global downturn, especially international ones. However, two more flight routes will be open between China and America: a daily direct flight from Shanghai to Newark Liberty International Airport in New York starting Mar. 26th, 2009 on Continental Airlines, and direct flight from Shanghai to Detroit starting June 2009 on Delta Airlines.
