Trip-Hop Band, Bang Gang, Playing Shanghai’s MAO Livehouse March 8

Icelandic Trip-hop band Bang Gang, are known for their fusion of falsetto-driven indie pop with Portishead-like electronica, and will be bringing this unique sound to Shanghai’s MAO Livehouse on March 8.

Bang Gang was started by Bardi Johannsson back in 1996. Their first successful release came in 1999 with the single ‘So Alone’. Their third, and critically acclaimed, album, ‘Ghosts from the past’, hit shelves in 2008, and it is the first album on which Bardi provides almost all the vocals.
