A tour train travelling from Urumqi to Liuyuan will be available for tourists on June 10. The L9752 train departs from Urumqi at 18:51 and arrives in Liuyuan at 6:38 the next day. The return train departs from Liuyuan at 22:58 and arrives in Urumqi at 11:39 the next day. Once in Liuyuan, Dunhuang is only a two-hour bus ride away (for about 20 RMB). The fare for charted cars is 120 RMB, but passengers can split the cost.
