Tongzhou became the first district to be home to charging poles for electric cars. The charging pole was installed by a man named Li, in a residential community, after he applied to the Tongzhou electrical authorities.
According to the Tongzhou electric company, charging your car at a private charging station will cost 1.4002 RMB per kwh, during peak hours and only 0.8745 during non peak hours.
Those who charge between 23:00-07:00 can enjoy even lower prices of 0.378 RMB per kwh, meaning that certain models can potentially run for 100 kilometers on only 10 RMB.
