Tickets for the Spring Festival travel period are available today. Advance tickets for January 26, 2016 can be purchased through China’s online ticketing website 12306, or by telephone.
While the peak time for buying rickets has yet to come, tickets for trains from Beijing, Guangzhou, and other popular cities are already selling fast.
The Spring Festival travel period runs from January 24 to March 3 2016. Tickets can be purchased 60 days in advance on 12306’s official website or by telephone, and 58 days in advance at train station windows and other ticket outlets. Tickets for trains added especially for the Spring Festival travel period will go on sale on December 16, 40 days in advance.
