Tianjin to speed up construction of highways
Jan 22, 2009 By eChinacities.com

In the next several years, the city will continue to increase construction on highways. By 2010, highways will cover 1200 kilometers and transportation will become much faster and convenient. Upon completion of the highway, it will be possible to leave from Tianjin and arrive at any of the major cities on the Bohai Sea within 8 hours. This will place the city center and Binhaixin District as transportation cores. This links Tianjin, Beijing and Hebei and other Bohai Sea cities, and these transportation hubs is just beginning to take shape. This the first step in an emerging Bohai Sea economic development structure, an “Eight Hour Service Circle” between these various cities.
