To better standardize management of nightclubs and entertainment centers in the city, Tianjin officials have decided to enact real name registration with all employees at the different venues – so as to prevent illegal operations and hidden agendas. The registration cards are to list the employee's name, sex, resident identification number, a picture and other information such as sign-in, sign-out times each day. At the moment, Tianjin has more than a hundred entertainment centers (nightclubs, bars, self-service entertainment centers, game centers) with an average floor area of 1,000 square meters or more.
