Tianjin Port Launches Ferries to Dalian, Tickets Start at 100 RMB

Tianjin Port has begun ferries destined for the wharf in Dalian. From June 16th to September 2nd, and from September 24th to October 8th, ferries are scheduled every two days; from September 6th to September 22nd, ferries are scheduled every four days. Ships will depart from Tianjin Port at 19:00; passengers start boarding at 14:00. The trip is 13 hours, and fares range from 100 RMB/person to 1,580 RMB/person.

The ship servicing the route is called Putuo Island. The vessel is 137.5 meters long, can run at up to 19 knots and accommodate a capacity of 1,428 passengers. The ferry can also load 70 trucks and 50 sedans. To ensure better safety for the trip, there is also a landing platform for helicopters on the ship in case of rescue operations. Amenities aboard the ship include a dance hall, movie theater, arcade game center, chess and cards room, bar, supermarket, restaurant, and first-aid clinic. There are also private rooms available on board to accommodate those traveling in families.
