Tianhe District to Build 2,000-meter Waterfront Leisure Street
Feb 17, 2009 By eChinacities.com
Tianhe District is due to develop a waterfront leisure commercial belt in Zhujiang New City, which will run about 11.0 kilometers eastward along Linjiang Road, including the road blocks from Zhujiang New City to Yuancun and Qianjin. The belt will take the Pearl River as its core landscape, and have leisure, catering, sightseeing, culture, entertainment, shopping and business as its leading functions. It will give prominence to the urban styles combining Chinese and Western cultures through shaping waterfront sights and perfecting leisure facilities. In the business belt, Tianhe District plans to create a 2,000-meter long waterfront leisure commercial street along Linjiang Road, which will focus on forming the cultural features along the banks of the Pearl River as well as modern business leisure, introducing specialty shops, leisure catering and entertainment networks from both home and abroad.
