Thunderstorms Cause Flooding, Flight Cancellations in Shanghai

Over 100 flights were canceled and a further 110 were delayed across Shanghai as thunderstorms wreaked havoc in the city, causing flooding.

46 flights to various destinations including Beijing and Guangzhou had been cancelled by 11:00, at Hongqiao alone. Pudong airport fared a little better with 60 delayed flights.

30 major roads were flooded around Pudong and Jiading, causing major traffic disruptions.

The storms have cleared up somewhat and the temperature is due to start rising back towards 33 degrees according to weather reports.
