The 64th Berlin Film Festival began on February 6 and ends this Sunday. This year there are three Chinese films vying for the Golden Bear award.

Ning Hao’s ‘No Man’s Land’  is a neo-western thriller, Lou Ye’s ‘Blind Massage’ is an adaptation of Bi Feiyu’s novel ‘Tuina’ (推拿) and tells the story of sight-impaired masseuses in Nanjing. The third film, ‘Black Coal, Thin Ice’ directed by Diao Yinan, is a thriller in which police investigate a serial killer whose victims are all romantically linked to the same woman.

In addition, Tony Leung, a Chinese actor made famous by his roles in a number of Wong Kar Wai movies, is on the panel of judges at the festival.
