Tens of Thousands of Tulips to Bloom in Chengdu

Every year in March, Shixiang Lake Tulip Festival, one of the largest tulip festivals in all of Asia, is held at the Shixiang Lake Sightseeing Area near Pujiang River in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

Tulips, the national flower of the Netherlands, are usually in bloom every year from March to May. Shixiang Lake Sightseeing Area (石象湖生态风景区) is one of the best sites for admiring flowers, as when the tulip bloom season passes, lilies, roses and tens of other different flowers will start to bloom right after.
