Tan Dun to Conduct "Music of Water" Concert in Hangzhou on Sept 15

The "Music of Water" concert will be held at the Hangzhou Grand Theater on September 15. The performance will be led by world-famous Chinese conductor Tan Dun (谭盾), Croatian maestro Igor Vlajnica and violinist David Wolfgang, accompanied by the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra. Tan Dun won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2001, and was mentioned by the New York Times as "one of the ten most important international musicians". He was also a global cultural ambassador at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.
