Taiyuan to Encounter Cold Front

Affected by the cold front, strong winds and cold days are expected in Tiayuan in the New Year. According to the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar, the coldest of the 24 solar terms falls on Jan. 5. Just as the calendar predicts, Taiyuan’s temperature will drop to -14℃ to -19℃ on Jan. 5 but the highest temperature will go back to around 1℃ on Jan. 6. However, the temperature is expected to fall again due to a cold air front on Jan. 9.
