The Taiyuan – Zhongwi – Yinchuan railway, whose construction started in September of 2006, is going to open on January 1st next year. With the opening of this railway, travel time from Yinchuan to Taiyuan will be reduced to five hours and Yinchuan to Beijing eight hours.
