Recently, one Chinese dating website released rankings which showed details of how long people had gone without a kiss in various provinces.
The chart showed that single men from Jiangsu topped the list, with the average single man going without a kiss for 36 months. Furthermore, 75% of young singles in Jiangsu hadn’t kissed in three years.
According to the rankings Shanghai is the “most romantic” city, with single men and women claiming that they went without kissing for periods of only a week at a time.
Shandong Province came out on top regarding what could be interpreted as the “purest” province in China, as it churned out the highest ratio of single men and women who stated that they had never kissed before.
The top ten list, with periods of no-kissing time, is as follows:
Jiangsu (36 months), Guangdong (30 months), Sichuan (26 months), Hubei (18 months), Zhejiang (12 months), Beijing (8 months), Hebei (6 months), Henan (3 months), Shandong (1 month), Shanghai (1 week).
