Recently many city residents have discovered that a stretch of rail line from the Tianjin light rail system at Zhongshanmen Station has stretched out, facing in the direction of Dongxing Street. That is the city’s Subway Line 9 and the light rail system’s connecting point. Construction in both directions has already begun. In the future, city residents will use this section of rail to come up from the subway and go down from the light rail overhead, completing the high speed connection between Tianjin Station and Binhaixin District.
Subway Line 9 altogether has 6.856 kilometers. Its starting point is at Tianjin Station Transportation Hub, and passes the stations on 7th Street, 11th Street, Dazhi Guxi Avenue and Dongxing Lu. It ends at the current intersection of Zhongshanmen and the light rail line.
