Student Accuses Principle of Being Part Of Dongguan Arrests to Delay Start of School

It’s crazy what kids would do to get out of school. Although, as in all areas of life, there is a limit. One student in Yibin, Sichuan went a little bit too far. The student photoshopped an image captured during the recent raids on prostitution in Dongguan with his headmasters image and name. He hoped that the principle’s implication in the raids would delay the opening ceremony of his high school.

What started as a semi-joke got out of hand when it spread around the internet. Even when the student deleted the post it was too late and continued to make the rounds. Unfortunately for the misdirected student, the school’s opening ceremony went ahead as scheduled and at the event the headmaster took the opportunity to set the record straight.

The kid said it started as a parody but when it got out of hand he didn’t know how to diffuse the situation. He has since been suspended from the school in order to ‘calm down’ and is expected back in the near future. Presumably the principle sees it merely as a case of kids being kids.

Look, editors. . .if you are going to write in English, spell the words correctly. A "principle" is a rule or a guideline. A "principal" is the administrator of a school. Remember, the principal is your pal." Morons!

It sure would be nice if someone at e-china cities would proofread what's been written... The word is PRINCIPAL for the director of a school.

Feel free to proofread everything. Proofreading = work, so personally I'll start proofreading when I get paid.

Personally, I proofread when I care about the work I do, and when I don't want to appear lazy.

Probably had rich parents with Guanxi, otherwise I bet he would have accidentally fallen down the stairs.

Beware the risks of using the rumour mill in this gullible gossip-country. This kid lit the fire and got burned - if rumour-peddlers always got their comeuppance like this, then society would look much better.

I doubt he views it as 'kids being kids' when you think about the damage it could've done to the guy's reputation (and the lengths some people are willing to go to protect their reputation).
