Dec 16, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Xi’an taxi drivers will soon be subject to a fine of up to 1000 RMB if they refuse service to passengers or intentionally choose to take longer routes, according to the new Regulation of Xi’an Taxi Management to be carried out from January 1 of next year. The regulation also says that passengers can refuse to pay the taxi driver if he/she doesn’t turn on the meter, neglects to provide a receipt, or fails to get the passenger to his/her destination on time because of an error in performance.
