China is celebrating her 60th anniversary so this special occasion must obviously entail exhibitions that commemorate the achievements and major changes that have influenced the country in the last 6 decades. As part of the celebrations, the Guangdong Museum of Art has decided to adapt the theme of “human dignity” as the main focus of its exhibition. The exhibition mainly features works that are representative of Chinese people’s struggles during the last 60 years. The exhibition is divided into six parts: realization, construction, atmosphere, recollection, life and vigor. The exhibition will display a collection of over 240 Chinese paintings, prints, films and sculptures, covering every period of modern China’s history and every aspect of people’s lives and spirit throughout the 60 year period.
