Liu Chao, Tan Jialiang and Wang Dantong, professional accordion players, are scheduled to perform at the Concert Hall of Shandong Normal University in Jinan on May 12. Liu Chao, a graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music, won the gold medal at the International Accordion Competition’s youth group in Paris in 2001. Tan Jialiang, a graduate of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music, won the top spot in the “popular” category at the 2010 Harbin International accordion Festival. Wang Dantong, who was born in 2001, claimed first prize in the “children’s popular accordion” category at the Shanghai Spring National Accordion Invitational in 2009.
