Freshly covered with a fine base layer of artificial snow, the ski field and adjoining Children’s winter playground in the Tianjin Nancuiping Park (天津南翠屏公园) official opened for the season this past week. The ski hill measures 300 m long by 40 m wide, making it the largest skiing facility in the Tianjin city area. Entrance tickets are 20 RMB (kids under 1.1 m get in free), and ski equipment can be rented by the hour for 80 RMB or by the day for 120 RMB. The skating rink will open as soon as the ice is thick enough.
