On February 12 it was reported that six foreigners, all from South East Asia, who were part of a human smuggling ring had been apprehended in Shenzhen. The ring organizes the illegal entry of foreign nationals into China through the southern borders, especially in Shenzhen.
The police have been monitoring the smuggling of people in the area for months and have been successful once again. The case is still under investigation and no sentences have been handed out yet.
