Sino-Foreign Universities Hold Forum in Shenzhen

The Sino-foreign Cooperative University Union held a presidents’ forum on Friday in Shenzhen. 2,411 cooperative education projects in science and engineering, the humanities, and other major disciplines in Mainland China were approved and reviewed. There are about 550,000 students enrolled in Sino-foreign cooperative run schools, and 450,000 in higher degree programs.

Members of the group include the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, New York University Shanghai, Duke Kunshan University, Kean University-Wenzhou, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Shenzhen, United International College.

Schools in the group that are still under construction include the Guangdong Israel Institute of Technology, Moscow State University Shenzhen. The heads and deputy heads of other well-known universities in China were also in attendance.

The meeting was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Shenzhen campus. Attendees discussed trends and their own experiences working in Sino-foreign cooperative universities.

In 2014, graduates from Sino-foreign cooperative universities had a 95% employment rate. 70% of graduates went on to work in multinational companies and international organizations. Employment satisfaction for graduates was 92%. 90% of graduates said they were satisfied with their alma mater, and 95% would recommend their alma mater to others.

Sino-Foreign universities only want your cash, but even so they are above any other university on the Mainland, because they are 'foreign managed'.
