Shijiazhuang’s recently trending ‘Thin Biscuit Building’ is actually just an illusion. From one angle, standing on Ping’An Avenue, the building appears to be paper thin. Pictures of this building have become a popular online.

However, the thinness of the building can be explained away as in optical illusion. The structure is, in fact, a triangular shape which, when viewed from a specific angle, seems to be extremely thin. But if one had to look at it from the opposite side it would actually look very wide indeed.

China loves there weird and wonderfully shaped buildings and the ‘Thin Biscuit Building’ is just the latest in a long line of eye-catching architecture.
