Shijiazhuang Transport - Bus

Bus fares are extremely economical in Shijiazhuang, only 1 RMB for non air-conditioned buses. Air-conditioned bus tickets are 2 RMB.  In the summer months (June, July and August) and the winter months (November, December, January and February) the air-conditioning or heating will be implemented accordingly.  During that time, tickets are 2 RMB per person.  Outside of these months, bus tickets are 1 RMB per ticket.  If you have an A-Card (IC card), you receive a 10 percent discount and will only need to pay 1.8 RMB per ticket. With an increase in tourism, a number of buses have implemented Mandarin / English recordings announcing up-coming stops and landmarks.

The city has begun to implement use of IC (integrated circuit) cards that allow passengers to travel around the city at a reduced price. Currently, there are three types of IC cards: A, B and C. Card A is for tourists, Card B for city residents and Card C for students in Shijiazhuang. IC card purchase requires a refundable 20 RMB deposit.
