The 2011 Shenzhen Nanshan Litchi Cultural Tourism Festival will be held from June 23rd to July 20th. The opening ceremony will be held at the Inter-Continental Hotel on June 23rd. The highlight of this year’s festival is the cooperation with the Shenzhen Universiade. Visitors will be able to participate in many events such as lychee-tasting, a Universiade night carnival, fun water sports competitions, crazy beer-quaffing competitions, water-splashing and an animal carnival, which will all be held at various locations including: Happy Valley, Window of the World, Splendid China Folk Culture Village, Shenzhen Safari Park and the Evergreen World Scenic Spot. The rich and varied content not only concentrates on the Lychee Tourism Festival and the resulting blend of essential food parties, but creates a major selling point for the Shenzhen Universiade.
