Shenzhen Has Seen 28 Smuggling Cases in 1 Year; Customs Seized 1,250kg of Drugs

On June 23, Shenzhen customs announced that in the space of one year, Shenzhen has seen 28 smuggling cases involving 62 drug smugglers.

Drugs including heroin, crystal meth, ketamine and cannabis amounting to a total of 1,250.469kg have been confiscated, and 19.93 tons of chemicals (used for the making of drugs) have also being seized.

Five major drug gangs were reportedly smashed in the past year, with over 90% of the drugs seized being cheap, simply-made synthetic substances.
