Shenzhen Happy Valley is hosting both a Christmas / New Year's celebration and pop music festival this December. Expect Happy Square, Magic Castle, Gold-mining Town and other areas throughout the amusement park to be totally decked out in kitschy Christmas decorations. Also, from December 24 to January 1, Happy Valley and Shenzhen Media Group are sponsoring a pop music festival, featuring Wang Feng, Top Combine, Shang Wenjie, Super VC and Yarrondeny, as well as the winners of the Chinese Golden Bell Award, Han Wei, Qingzi, Su Dan and others. Finally, Happy Valley will host big carnivals on the evenings of December 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st, with a big countdown and fireworks show planned for New Year's Eve. It's a pretty good deal as well – each night after 18:30, admission to the carnival is only 60 RMB per person.
