Shenzhen Bay Park to Open to Visitors in August

The longest seaside park and the only coastal recreational area in Shenzhen is about to open to the public in August. When opened, the 11 kilometres long coastline will be separated into 12 different park areas, each with its own theme.

The east side of the park will border with the Futian Mangrove and Birds National Nature Reserve (红树林鸟类自然保护区); the west side faces the Shenzhen-Hongkong Bridge; to the north it faces the Binhai Dadao Avenue and to the south it faces Shenzhen Bay with a view over the water to the Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong. The total area of the park is 128, 74 hectares. The park itself is made up of of the merging of the already opened Mangrove Seashore Ecology Park and the Shenzhen Bay Seashore Recreational Area which is currently under construction.
